The Classes aim at improving listening skills of the children and increasing their attention span. Creative drama and voice modulation will help the child become more expressive and thereby leading to catharsis of emotions. Free hand drawing will be incorporated as it gives freedom of expression and design to the imaginations and abstract thinking of the child.
Jasmine Chaddha’s Desires 2 Design workshops are English conversation classes that aim at spontaneity in English language and work towards boosting the self expression capability of the child. We believe that each child has lot of desires and aspirations inside him or her. How We Work?
Every child wants to express, however at times he does not know how to do so as the right words do not fit in at the right place at the right time. Through a strong vocabulary, the expression and communication skills of the child would improve there by boosting up the confidence of the child. A large storehouse of vocabulary also helps in a better written expression and impressive creative writing. Often children write straight forward story lines with predictable outcomes. There are no co-relations, twist and turns. Often the characters in the story are not described well. Their sentence structures are relatively simple. The result is that creative writing is neither interesting nor do they catch the attention of the reader.
The classes aim at teaching usage of figurative language such as similes, metaphors, proverbial phrases, idiomatic expressions etc to improve their writing skills. By using hyperbole, Personification, onomatopoeia alliteration helps to stretch their imagination and come out with unique individual writings. Their stories become short crisp and to the point rather than boring compositions. Theme based creative drams is an integral part of every session. The child gains confidence and becomes more spontaneous in his communication skills. Drama also helps the child to improve pronunciation of words and helps him/her work on their voice modulation. It helps them pause correctly and emphasize on the right words at the right time. JAM sessions keep the motivation level of the children high. The healthy competitive spirit among children is left high and alive through debates & discussions on various topics.
